Hungerford Town v Havant and Waterlooville
Where: Bulpit Lane, RG17 0AY
When: 28th December 2019
K.0 3PM
The last game of 2019 and subsequently the decade. These two sides have had different journeys over the past 10 years but it's Hungerford's remarkable rise which is the biggest story. They're now battling at the wrong end of the table to stay in the National League South for another year whilst Havant look to return to the National League at the first time of asking. A heavy Christmas period will have an effect, the team who can recover best will most likely be the victors.
Form guide- Havant had their home game versus Weymouth postponed on Boxing Day. In their last league game they drew 3-3 with Braintree. Hungerford have lost their last three games but unlucky in defeat at Oxford on Thursday, in a narrow 3-2 loss.
Team news- Manager Paul Doswell has no new injury concerns for his Havant side. Meanwhile Ian Herring is likely to make changes with Bradley Webb and Yan Klukowski both forced off at Oxford. Joe Tomlinson took a knock to the knee and is going to be assessed.
Star man- The Hawks striker Jonah Ayunga is the league's joint top scorer with 12 goals and scored when the sides met in September. If the Crusaders are to get anything out of Saturday's game striker Liam Ferdinand is going to have to take his chances. His goal against Oxford was a timely reminder of his capabilities in front of goal.
Head to head- Earlier in the season, on a September Wednesday night, Havant triumphed 3-1 victors. They met in the 2017/18 season with the Hawks winners on both occasions, 2-0 at Home and 1-0 in Berkshire.
