Chelmsford City v Hungerford Town
Where: Melbourne Park, CM1 2EH
When: 7th December 2019
K.O 3PM
For the second time in three weeks Chelmsford and Hungerford go head to head. The hosts narrowly won the FA trophy encounter but were played off the park by the visitors in the second half and the tie should've gone to a replay. Hungerford's recent performances have been improving and knowing what their opponents entail, they'll be confident of getting all three points on Saturday.
Form guide- Chelmsford drew 1-1 away at bottom of the table St Albans last weekend after beating Hungerford in the trophy a week earlier. Hungerford won 1-0 on Tuesday night against Tonbridge Angels to move outside the relegation zone after late heartbreak at Weymouth last Saturday.
Team news - The hosts remain without Ollie Muldoon, Tom Wraight and Mickey Spillane. Billy Knott is still unavailable through suspension. For the visitors, Josh Bradley-Hurst will continue to deputise in place of Adam Siviter. Louis McGrory is nearing a return but still not available.
Star man - Goalkeeper Sam Howes was the difference between the sides two weeks ago with his penalty save stopping the tie going to a replay. Crusaders forward Jose Maturino Da Silva has emerged onto the scene, winning that penalty in the Trophy before scoring at Weymouth and assisting the winning goal on Tuesday night.
Head to head - These sides met just two weeks ago with the hosts prevailing 2-1 victors. Last season, Chelmsford did the double over Hungerford winning 4-1 at home and 6-0 away. In 2017/18 both games ended one apiece. The story was similar a season earlier with a one-one draw in Berkshire before a thrilling three-three draw in Essex.
