Hungerford Town v Eastbourne Borough
When: 16th November 2019
Where: Bulpit Lane, RG17 0AY
K.O 3PM
Both these sides have had a break from league action after having games postponed on Saturday. The wet weather affected Hungerford's Bulpit Lane pitch whilst Eastbourne failed to play due to a power shortage at Wealdstone. This is a big game with the hosts able to leapfrog their opponents with a win. Due to financial difficulties both sides are expected to be in a relegation fight for the rest of the campaign. With the bottom two also facing off, this weekend is massive for all sides in the bottom half.
Form guide- Eastbourne are winless in three games. They lost 2-0 to Dartford last time out following 1-1 draws against Weymouth and Hemel Hempstead Town. Hungerford have won their last two games both by three goals to nil against Thatcham in the Berks and Bucks cup and Braintree in the league.
Team news- The Sports have signed Josh Bray and Jethro Hanson who'll both be available for the trip to Berkshire. The hosts should have a near fully fit squad with midfielders Louis McGrory and Yan Klukowski expected to be the only absentees.
Star man- Striker Greg Luer is a deadly goal-scorer in the National League South and has four goals so far this campaign. He'll need to step up now fellow goal-scorer Elliot Romain has left for Dartford. Luer will be up against centre-back Taofiq Olomowewe who scored his second goal for the club on Tuesday night alongside keeping a clean sheet in a commanding and assured display.
Head to head- Both sides won a game apiece last season. Hungerford won 2-0 at Bulpit Lane after falling to a 3-1 defeat at Priory Lane. In previous seasons Eastbourne won three of the four matches between the sides with the only exception a 2-2 draw at the Bulpit.
