Braintree Town v Hungerford Town
When: 2nd November 2019
Where: Cressing Road, CM7 3AL
K.O 3PM
A difficult game against Hampton last weekend has meant a return to the bottom of the table. Ian Herring insists the camp is still a positive place to be around. The start of a new month could mean the start of changing fortunes. Games against Tonbridge and Eastbourne look the best bet for three points with a difficult trip to Weymouth ending the month. In the mean time a long trip to Essex awaits for the second away day in a row. Braintree have recently slipped out of the play off spots but Glen Driver is proving his worth and will be eager to return to the play offs with a win on Saturday.
Form guide- Braintree stopped an unwelcome losing streak by grabbing a late injury time equaliser versus Maidstone in midweek. The previous two games saw them lose 5-1 at Tonbridge and 3-0 at Weymouth respectively. Hungerford are in mixed form with a 2-0 success at Concord Ranges squeezed in the middle of defeats to Dorking and Hampton respectively.
Team news- The hosts have no new injury concerns but may rotate as Saturday's game is there third in seven days. Ian Herring has confirmed that Yan Klukowski has trained all week and will be available for the weekend. Herring's only injury concerns are that of Mike Jones and Louis McGrory.
Star man- Recent signing Lucas Kirkpatrick orchestrated many of the Irons attacks against Maidstone helping his side to a late point. Kirkpatrick will be keen to prove his worth for a second game in succession. For the Crusaders, goalkeeper Adam Siviter was in fine form last Saturday. Without the on-loan Birmingham City keeper the score line could've been more emphatic for Hampton.
Head to head- These sides met two seasons ago in the National League South. The Iron come on top on both occasions. A thumping 5-0 home win before a narrow one-nil success at Bulpit Lane.
