Concord Rangers v Hungerford Town
Where: Thames Road, SS8 0HH
When:19th October 2019
K.O 3PM
The foundations were laid at Dorking but now points need to start being picked up. Defensively Hungerford were organised and disciplined. In attack sparks are yet to fly. A trip to Canvey Island sounds unappealing however with Concord also on indifferent form lately now could be the perfect time to visit. Three points could kickstart the visitors season with crunch games against Hampton, Tonbridge and Eastbourne within the next month.
Form guide- Concord fell to a narrow 1-0 defeat at home to Chippenham on Saturday after a 3-0 away loss to Weymouth. In the FA cup they were knocked out 3-1 at lower league Margate. Hungerford also fell to a narrow 1-0 defeat but at Dorking after a 2-1 loss at home to Welling. In the FA cup they also fell to a shock defeat at Poole Town.
Team news- The hosts have no new injury concerns. On the other side, Mike Jones and Louis McGrory will be missing for the visitors.
Star man- Decarey Sheriff has made a good start to life at the Beachboys with five league goals so far. Hoping to stop him adding to his tally is defender Taofiq Olomowewe. Olomowewe captained the Crusaders at Dorking last weekend and was a stand out performer throughout.
Head to head- Last season Concord thrashed Hungerford 4-0 in Essex before a 2-1 defeat away in Berkshire. In 2017/18 it was a similar story with Concord winning the home fixture after the Crusaders won the first at Bulpit Lane. In 2016/17 Hungerford completed the double over the Beachboys.
