Dorking Wanderers v Hungerford Town
When: 12th October 2019
Where: Meadowbank, RH4 1DX
Both these sides have had two weeks off from league action and meet for the first time on Saturday. Formed in 1999, Wanderers have stormed through the leagues in emphatic fashion. They're now looking like an established step 6 side pushing for a play-off place. It's the first time this season the Crusaders will play on an artificial pitch and they'll need to adapt to quickly. Another set of three points need to arrive otherwise they risk being left adrift even at this fairly early stage.
Form guide- Dorking snatched a late point at Billericay last time out reacting well from a shock defeat at Tooting and Mitcham in the FA cup. In their last home league game they convincingly beat Maidstone 3-1. Hungerford were dropped back into the relegation zone when they lost to Welling two weeks ago. That followed defeat at Poole in the FA cup and a comeback win at Dulwich Hamlet.
Team news- The hosts have strengthened in attack with the loan signing of Barnet striker Jack Barham in the last week. The visitors will be without Mike Jones and potentially Louis McGrory and Joe Tomlinson after the pair both sustained knocks in training recently.
Star man- Jason Prior has bags of experience in the National League South and his 7 goals so far have propelled the hosts into the play off places. He was the league's top goal scorer two years ago scoring in both meetings versus Hungerford with Havant and Waterlooville. Taofiq Olomowewe will be the key man tasked with stopping Prior on Saturday. Taofiq had a good debut at centre-back against Welling and he'll play a pivotal role in the coming weeks.
Head to head- These sides have never met before.
