Hungerford Town v St Albans City
Where: Bulpit Lane, RG17 0AY
When: 7th September 2019
K.O 3PM
A massive chance for both sides to collect their second wins of the season on Saturday. Both had made slow starts to the season results wise and still works in progress. Ian Herring and Ian Allinson both have young squads with potential and need to unlock that potential sooner rather than later. With only two points separating these sides a win for either could kick start their season.
Form guide- St Albans lost on Tuesday night to early front runners Wealdstone off the back of a draw at Slough and win against Concord Rangers. Hungerford lost by three goals to one by Havant on Wednesday night after defeat at Billericay and a draw against Dartford.
Team news- The hosts only absentee may be defender James Rusby after he sat out of Wednesdays game versus Havant. For the visitors midfielder Taylor Miles is back in the matchday squad. Defender Joe Howe has a calf injury and wont play any part on Saturday.
Star man- He may only have two goals in his account for the Saints but Darren Foxley's quality makes him a clear dangerman on the wings. The Crusaders know all about Foxley after his time with the club last season however the hosts have a goal threat of their own. James Constable scored his third goal in nine games for the club on Wednesday night and he will put away any chances he receives on Saturday.
Head to head- Hungerford have a strong record at Bulpit Lane against St Albans winning five-nil last year and three-one in 2018. Saints did beat the Crusaders three-two at Clarence park last season but were held at home to Hungerford a season earlier.
