After nearly a month of football the league table is starting to shape up. It is early days but Wealdstone have made a good start to life under new manager Dean Brenan. Hungerford were unlucky not to claim all three points against Chippenham especially after there fast start, carving out multiple chances to extend there lead. With this weekends opponents sitting top of the table matters don't get any easier for the visitors but if they can take there chances other than waste them a good result could be on the cards.
Form guide- Wealdstone dispatched of Hemel Hempstead 3-0 on Saturday after edging out Chippenham Town and comfortably defeating Braintree Town. Hungerford could only draw 1-1 with Chippenham on Saturday after back to back defeats to Bath City and Maidstone United.
Team news- Left back Ryan Sellers is still out but Jonathan North could return after starting the Stones friendly match against Hayes and Yeading United on Tuesday. Ian Herring has no new injury concerns and will welcome back Marcus Johnson-Schuster after he missed Saturdays game.
Star man- A goal and an assist for the hosts Michael Phillips saw him make the National league south team of the week. For the visitors, Josiah Dunstan has been a commanding presence at the back despite never playing semi-professional football before this season. With goals galore in the Wealdstone squad the centre back and his defence will have to be on high alert throughout proceedings.
Head to head- These side met three times last season, with the Stones coming out on two occasions in league and Cup. The Crusaders salvaged a 1-1 draw in the first of these encounters. In 2017/18 Wealdstone completed the double with 3-1 and 1-0 victories.
