Hungerford Town v Chippenham Town
When: 17th August 2019
Where: Bulpit Lane, RG17 OAY
K.O 3PM
After two consecutive defeats, a return to home soil is most definitely welcome. Bath was a tricky encounter on Tuesday night and just staying in the match by half time was an achievement considering previous results at Twerton Park. Scoring in all four games so far bodes well but conceding nine goals in four games is the primary concern despite facing tough opposition. Anyone who knows recent history will know this weekend's game gives Hungerford a good opportunity to return to winning ways.
Form guide- Chippenham fell to their first defeat of the season on Tuesday with narrow defeat to Wealdstone. Last Saturday they beat Billericay 2-0 at home after drawing 1-1 with Oxford City. Hungerford also lost on Tuesday, 2-1 at Bath after going down 3-1 to Maidstone United three days earlier. Before that they did collect three points with a win over Slough Town.
Team news- Centre back Will Richards is out for the visitors. New signing Chris Zebroski is expected to play a part in the match. For the hosts they could be without right back Marcus Johnson-Schuster and captain Mike Jones who both picked up injuries at Bath on Tuesday.
Star man- Netting his first goal at the weekend and being an ex Crusader, Nat Jarvis is the main goal threat for the visitors on Saturday. However he'll now have competition from David Pratt and Zebroski. Kofi Halliday has become a key player for the Crusaders in recent games and came off the bench to score our consolation the other night. Halliday is winger who can play on either flank and works hard for the team.
Head to head- Hungerford have never lost at home to Chippenham winning last season's game 2-1. However, the Bluebirds did pick up a first win in seven when they won 3-1 at Harenduish Park earlier in the year. In 2017/18 both games were won 2-1 by the Crusaders.
