Dartford v Hungerford Town
Where: Princes Park, Kent, DA1 1RT
When: 22nd December 2018
K.O: 3PM
After two weeks off Hungerford get back to business in a busy festive period. This is the first of three games this week but thankfully for some the only one away from Bulpit Lane till New Year’s Day. Dartford have certainly improved since the sides met in August and now sit in 7th place chasing another play off birth. For Hungerford just not being bottom at Christmas and being only 1 point from safety is an achievement from their perspective.
Form guide- Dartford have also had two weeks off and haven’t won in 4 in all competitions. Last time out they drew 1-1 draw against Slough after losing to Torquay and Eastbourne in an fa trophy replay. Hungerford’s own game v Slough in the Berks and Bucks cup was postponed on Tuesday night after a recording a 2-1 win over Chippenham. Away form is an issue as they haven’t even earned a point on their travels since a 3-2 win against Truro on August bank holiday Monday.
Team news- Earlier this month the Darts signed Hemel Hempstead forward Phil Roberts and also announced that Delano Sam-Yorke would stay on loan at Kingstonian for another month. Hungerford have no apparent team news, only Marcus Johnson Schuster is a doubt after coming off at half-time versus Chippenham.
Star man- Charlie Sherringham is the host’s top scorer this season with 5 goals in 9 appearances. On the opposition is Rhys Kavanagh who’s looked impressive since joining on loan from Bristol Rovers and scored on his home debut two weeks ago.
Head to head- The crusaders came out on top against the Kent based side earlier this season with a 1-0 victory. They have an impressive record at Bulpit Lane winning all the three contests. However at Princes Park the Darts have enjoyed the upper hand, 0-0 on the opening day last season and a 2-0 win the year before.
