Hungerford Town v Weston Super Mare
Where: Bulpit Lane RG17 0BE
When: 3rd November 2018
K.O 3PM
A massive game in both clubs aspirations to avoid the drop. Weston are at the foot of the table with only 3 points. Hungerford are 8 points ahead but having played 2 games more than their opponents making this game more crucial. Both teams will see this as a good time to get 3 points on the board making this game an intriguing and tense contest. If Hungerford lose they’re likely to fall into the bottom three.
Form guide- Our visitors Weston have not won this season in 13 attempts. There 3 draws have all come at home with the point against Torquay in midweek the first since late August. They have also not kept a clean sheet this season. Hungerford have won once in the last 7, losing the other 6. They’re looking to return to winning ways after losing 3-0 at Woking in midweek after beating Hampton 2-0 last Saturday.
Team news- The Seagulls should have last season’s top scorer Gethyn Hill back after he missed the loss to Concord and the draw to Torquay with illness; however, he’s unlikely to face Home defender Tarik Moore-Azill who is still a doubt. Tristan Plummer is back after suspension whilst Jacob Cane is 50/50 and they might not have to mark Crusaders hitman Danilo Orsi-Dadomo who came off against Woking with a knock.
Star man- Gethyn Hill was the clubs top goal scorer last season and will be key if the Seagulls are to get to safety this season. The tall Welsh striker scored 24 goals in 53 appearances last campaign but has struggled this season. He will have to face Hungerford keeper Jacob Weaver who has been impressive since joining from Birmingham City on loan. He got his first clean sheet last weekend at home to Hampton.
Head to head- Last season Hungerford beat Weston 2-0 at home but lost 2-1 away. In 2016/17 the Crusaders did the double over the Seagulls winning 1-0 and 2-1.
