The Rocks come to Bulpit Lane in desperate search from some points after picking up only 2 points in their last 21 available. Bognor Regis Town have found life tough in the league this season despite playing "Total Football" as described by Joint Manger Jon Boardman.
Boardman who went to watch their match vs Wealdstone last Saturday felt they controlled possession well and it will be a matter of taking chances when the opportunity arises today.
The Rocks have a somewhat depleted squad, Chad Field's knee injury is potentially serious, Following a scan last week, the club have arranged for Chad to see a private surgeon during the coming week to provide an accurate prognosis and propose the best way forward. Corey Heath is in a similar position and has seen an ankle specialist this week.
Sami El-Abd suffered a hamstring injury on Saturday and is expected to be out for 2-3 weeks.
The good news is that Keaton Wood has responded well to treatment and is hoping to be able to return to the team this coming Saturday.
Ollie Pearce continues to undergo treatment but is returning to full training this week and hopes to be match fit in a couple of weeks. There is no guarantee that he will not suffer a recurrence of his groin injury however, and if he does an operation followed by a lengthy period of recovery will be needed.
James Crane underwent his operation this week and assuming that it is successful, hopes to be returning to full training by the end of March.
Away from injuries, Ben Swallow will sit out the match at Hungerford as he completes his three match suspension, but Richard Gilot will be available for selection.
The Rocks were boosted by the signing of Anthony Nelson, a 20 year old wide player from the Cayman Islands. Anthony has been training with the squad and his international clearance certificate was received yesterday, sadly twenty minutes too late to be registered with the National League for todays game.
Hungerford had last weeks game called off at Hampton and the squad is fresh having had the break, although injuries to Stefan Brown and Alex Wall will still see them unavailable. Scott Rees returns to the squad after a couple of successful games with Hartney Witney and Gareth Thomas should feature for Thatcham Town today to gain fitness.
The Crusaders have won 4 of their last six games and has given them breathing space from the relegation zone and after a cry for more investment this week the club have their sights on maintaining National League status, Hungerford won at Nyewood Lane in September 2-1, courtesy of a brace from Louie Soares. They will be looking for another three points today to further extend the gap at the bottom.
